Raritan Valley Scouts, BSA Camporee

Winnebago Scout Reservation brought together nearly 150 Scouts and leaders for a weekend filled with camaraderie, competition, and valuable training experiences. The camporee, set against Winnebago’s beautiful natural surroundings, was a testament to the Scouting spirit. This event, hosted in the heart of nature, provided Scouts with opportunities to test their skills, learn essential life lessons, and strengthen their bonds as a community.

Scouts from various troops gathered to participate in a first aid competition, testing their skills in various scenarios in an outdoor setting. One of the highlights of the camporee was the unexpected mass injury response practice. Scouts practiced a simulated emergency scenario with mass injuries. This invaluable exercise taught them to remain calm and organized in crisis situations, providing a sense of security for the Scouts and their communities.
