CPR / Wilderness First Aid Spots Available

There are currently spots available for CPR and Wilderness First Aid.  This is a great opportunity and course available to all registered adults and Scouts at least 14 years old.  Having a valid CPR certification is a prerequisite for attending the Wilderness First Aid class.  Click on the links below to register for CPR and Wilderness First Aid on the Council website.  Both courses are highly recommended for all outdoor activities.

Did you know our National High Adventure bases and the National Jamboree require members to be certified in both CPR and Wilderness First Aid?  This is just one of the ways our programs continue to be prepared.  For more ways to stay safe, check out or Scouting Safely website: https://ppcbsa.org/scoutingsafely/.

Klondike Derby Season Wrap-Up!

This past weekend we wrapped up another successful Klondike Derby season with over 1,800 participants.

We had four great events at Winnebago Scout Reservation, Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation and Watchung Reservation.

This year we saw drastic swings in the temperatures with our events ranging from a balmy 45 degrees for Pioneer and Skylands to Fishawack and Raritan Valley that saw temperatures close to zero.

Thank you to all of our awesome volunteers that planned and executed safe and fun events for our Scouts!

Ukrainian Mass Announcement

Scouts and Scouters are invited to join a delegation from Patriots’ Path Council in participating in Divine Liturgy (Mass) to show our Movement’s continued concern for and fraternity with the Ukrainian people as the war continues to rage.

The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church on the corner of Bloy Street and Liberty Avenue (no street number) in Hillside, N.J. at 10:45 AM on Sunday, March 26.

Class A uniforms are required.

Contact Mr. Jim Agar at [email protected] if your unit is interested in attending and would like to have a Scout process into church with the unit flag.

Individual Scouts, Scouters, and Scouting families are also welcome to attend and are also asked to inform Mr. Agar so that a general headcount can be provided to the parish.

University of Scouting: Celebrating 113 Years Of Scouting

Event: March 4, 2023

University of Scouting Registration Link

Program Launch Registration

Today we celebrate Scouting’s 113th Birthday.

To help Patriots’ Path Council celebrate this milestone, we are ready to open registration for the University of Scouting and Program Launch. These two great events are about making our local Scouting program better.

Every Scout deserves a trained leader. University of Scouting is a great way to achieve that.  Many of our classes are geared toward helping leaders be as successful as possible when running the Scouting program.

Many of our subject matter experts who are presenting are doing so from a place of experience. They are volunteer leaders just like you. The best part of University of Scouting is that you also get to meet other leaders from all over the council. Even our subject matter experts leave the University of Scouting learning something new.

We’re also opening registration for our Program Launch! Be Prepared; these are the words many of us know well from Scouting. Program Launch is our kick-off to the 2023-2024 Scouting year and takes place at the University of Scouting. At Program Launch you have the opportunity to meet and talk with every committee in Patriots’ Path Council that helps support the leaders who provide program to our Scouts.

Take this time at Program Launch, to stop by and introduce yourself to our newly appointed council commissioner, Jay Deboey.
